Default How important is doe hunting

To you on a personal level?
NOT from a management standpoint we all know that answer.

Where do you fall?
A deer is a deer, buck/doe all the same to me.
Why shoot a doe, can’t be any fun in it
They are my main focus, pile them up and fire up the grille.
I’ll hunt them if there is nothing better to do
Our state’s population isn’t conducive to shooting does.

Honestly, I spend WAY more time focused on shooting does than I do bucks. It’s a huge part of my bowhunting entertainment value. Don’t get me wrong, I bust my behind to get a buck too, but does are really my staple. Then add that this season we gained an additional 6 weeks or so of doe only bowhunting, so you can see why its such a great way to stay out in the woods and on stand.
