I agree with your post but I have to laugh a little because I consider myself bowhunter (shame on me) who uses a gun.. and yes I hunt from the ground and from a tree stand but it has nothing to do with the weapon in my hand..And there is nothing I love more than to spot & stalking with a bow...But what made me chuckle was that 90% of the gun hunters that I know who hunt from the ground are on the ground because that’s where their heated blind is located. And if they aren't in their blind they are in a tree stand...Nothing wrong with hunting from a blind and man its nice when its 10 degrees out and I'm in a blind and all I have on is a sweatshirt...it makes it much easier to stay out until 1pm...

....I have nothing against any other hunter, just some choices others make (yes bowhunters too). And yes I'm proud to call to myself a bowhunter...if someone calls me an elitist or something else so what... it just means that I'm more commited than them
