Dan....Thats a SERIOUS grinder.
Here;s the real deal on my processing. I did it the first time I killed a deer. It took me and a buddy over 3 hours to get 'er done.....and then we cleaned up the equipment and my kitchen. It also cost me close to $20 worth of freezer vacuum bags (it was his stuff). OK.....so I'm one of the conceited ones that thinks my time is worth something.....so I decide to have the next one processed at the meat processor. It cost me $35 (+/-....actually it might have been $30) and I picked it up already in tubes and vacuum sealed bags.
Never thought about whther it was "my" deer I was eating....or anything of the sort. It's all been good.
So....suffice it to say ....I don't do my own processing, any more. The last buck I took to them.....cost $55....but he was a 200#+ buck on the hoof.....and went in their door in 2 coolers

.
ANOTHER reason I utilize their services is.....I donate venison to a needy family that one of my co-workers knows. My processor found out about it.....and he donates his services to ANY deer I send to this family. They ask me every time if it's "mine" or for the family....and we're on the honor system (VERY honorable on their part). They even threw in a gift certificate for them, last Christmas.
