Default RE: Taking pride in bowhunting

ORIGINAL: BigJ71

Idon't think it's wrong to take pride in bow hunting or any other type of hunting, in fact I think it's a good thing. Where I have a problem is when one group thinks their form of hunting is superior therefore indirectly suggesting that they are superior hunters for pursuing that type of hunting.

It's been myobservation, that most of this attitude comes from those who limit themselves to one particular form of hunting (bow hunting in this case), or have not been at it for too long, or are young. It seems that those whodon't have aclue about the other forms are the ones who are the most outspoken.

That's when it stops being pride andstarts to reekof elitism.[:'(]Unfortunately such is human nature to want to be the best at what they do. The problem is, a lot of folks would rather try to drive home this point by belittling the other forms of hunting instead of being stalwarts of their form of hunting.

I hate to say it folks because I do love bow hunting but I see it FAR more from bow hunters than ANY other hunter sub group. Again, just my observations.

As for me....I take just pride in being a hunter, plain and simple.

Here ended the lesson.
