Well, a 210 is a large rifle primer, and a 209 is a shotgun primer. Two totally different sizes. Can't use a 210, unless you an adaptor. And I don't recommend it.
is there a difference in the shotgun primers,the ones I have here are 209 winchesters is there any difference in the 209's or are they pretty much the same.......Ted
Yes, there's a huge difference. The 209 primers are designed to fit into shotgun hulls, they are about 3 times the size of Federal 210 / CCI 200 large rifle primers. I use CCI exclusively but the Winchester Rifle Primers I think are WLR or something like that...unless something has changed.
