I know dead is dead but I hate tracking lung shot animals.The .270 just was not good for me. I have no doubt abouts its history, its just not for me. You have to take the blame...bullet placement is up to the shooter.
If you dont have confidence in a particular cartridge, thats fine dont use it. I will not hunt deer with a 243 but to say thatthe 270 is to blame instead of your shot placement is pure BS
