RE: Remington 742 Woodsmaster
its a Keeper and a hunter. No doubt a great gun. I own a 742 in .308 and a 7400 in .270. I picked the 742 at a gun show for a great deal. It was in great condition. the 7400 is going up for sale when I get around too. I was looking for a .308 w/ woodstock and could not find a 7400 in .308 w/ a wooden stock. So when I saw the 742 I jumped and hagled on the deal.
Give it a nice cleaning and you will be fine. The triggers are horrible on the Rems. but they are easily adjustable if you are daring and handy. They can also be sent out to get worked on.
