it wastowards a tree. I loaded up on Sunday night and did not have a chance to drop the hammer on a deer. So Wed after the hunt, I fired it off. It is comforting to know that my "Keep your powder dry, Pilgrim" procedures worked, as it fired right off with no delays. Just by doing that gives me that much more confidence in this ancient technology. Next year Ole Betsy will be smoking a deer for sure.
On the bright side, my brother-in-law and I tag teamed a nice buck with the shotguns. We both fred at the same time and there were two kill holes in the buck.
