Rub it in there Reb.
I went out with the smoke pole this morning and tried to cross a swamp to get to a high point to see if I could get a look at a buck that was in the area. Everything was white and snow covered and it had been cold enough to freeze the swamp. I was almost to my spot and one leg broke through and I went in right up to my crotch and still didn't reach the bottom. I ended up on my back and this old timer had a heck of a time getting that one leg out of the hole. Long 1 mile walk back to the truck with a 18" Lacrosse Burley boot full of water and frozen camo coverall (1 leg only).
Dang CI!......That deer would havehad to be a world record for me to go after itin them conditions!Back in 1996 my partner and I went to North FL (Tallahassee) and it got down to 16*..I swore not to ever dothat again!
