The problem with ultra light arrows and/or dryfiring has ALWAYS been the strings and cables breaking. Before fast flight string material, the metal cables were the weak link. If you overstressed your bow, the metal cables would break. Using fast flight for cables allowed archers to go to lighter arrows, but there were still limits. As far as I' m concerned, there still are limits.

Sure you can shoot a new HCA bow with 3gr/lbs arrows, but that little demonstration is showing us what will happen eventually. Somethings going to give. Who cares if its the string and not the riser or limbs??? A bow blowing up is a bow blowing up. That it was the string that failed is going to be very little consolation, when that blown up bow is wrapped around your head.

I should think that shooting such a setup would bring on a whole new type of target panic. Every time you touch the trigger, you will develop this incredible urge to duck!!!!
