What is the difference between a Federal 215 and a Federal 215M?
Are these primers interchangeably in loads? Does the M (match) mean they have tighter tolerances? Any help is appreciated.
No. The "M" indicates that the contents of boxes so marked have been inspected more closely than "regular" primers, and are supposedly found to appear more consistent. But do they make a difference? Maybe, to benchrest boys, maybe to long-range riflemen. To hunters? Hardly!
