Rayzr feathers by Gateway vs. Eastman Vanes...
Bought some new feathers to try, the Rayzrs by Gateway. I have some Eastman 2.8" vanes in my fletching box, so I compared the two on a digital reloading scale. WOW!!! What a difference. The vanes weighed in at 18.4 gramsper 3 on the scale( like on an arrow) and the Rayzr feathers weighed in at 3.1 grams per 3. The test was done 3 times to assure accurate weight.
Quite a difference in total arrow weight if speed is your goal. I fletched three arrows with the Rayzrs. We'll see how they fly and group when it stops snowing !
