I'm somewhere between number one and number two.

Some years I'm after a mature buck only and others I leave it up to how I feel at the time the shot presents itself. I think people should shoot what they want, after all this is supposed to be fun.

It's been a while since I killed anything smaller than an 8-point buck as it's kinda been my standard to meet for a while now. This however does not stop me from killing a young 8 point. Perfect example was the buck I killed this year, a 2.5 year old (best guess) 8-point.

Now with another buck tag to fill, I'm after a mature buck only. In fact I've already passed on a buck that was very similar to the one I killed this year (100in +/-)the thought to shoot him never even crossed my mind.
