For me, its anything BUT fawns. I had an experience with a young 6 month old fawn, barely had the spots off that got hit by a car. Both front legs were broken when we got there and one shoulder was shattered. Needless to say, putting it out of its misery with a knife wasnt the most enjoyable thing ive ever done. Meat was real tasty, but it was a tough thing to do. Before that i would shoot a fawn if i got the chance, but with starting bowhunting this year and continuing shotgun hunting, i cant bring myself to do it anymore.
