Herman, the Classic hunter is a free floated barrel, but i don' t believe it is glass bedded (like the medallion and ss stalker). I have a medallion in a 270 it will easily print under an 1" at 100, I do have a Leupold Vari X III scope on top though. Buddy of mine this fall bought a 7 mm SS Stalker with the same scope and the same results...only thing he did was drop the trigger pull to 3 pounds from the 6 it was set at from factory. It is quite possible the BOSS wasn' t dialed in, the gun didn' t like the bullet he was using, scope, not cleaned properly or the gun itself. From those who have and what I have heard the BOSS is not worth the price, many other breaks that will do a much better job.

On the same tokin, if your leary about Browning then go for a Tikka. The word is they are " SHOOTER' S" . You may want to consider the 300 WSM, since you have the 280, 7-08. It will give you a bit more than your 06' s and the recoil is tolerable...just a thought!!!!
