Very simple and rewarding. The biggest cost is with the jig, I have the Bitzenberger. It's not the cheapest but I feel it's one of the best and will last a lifetime. You don't save alot of money doing it yourself but it sure is a lot more rewarding and simple for repairs.

A Bitzenburger will be your first and last fletching jig. That's what I have, and as Rob said it's very rewarding. I love playing with different fletching types and so forth.
