I remember once in the 70'S I was with Tom Jenning both and the compound shooter were shooting in the 190's fps and a guy walked up with a browning back packer recurve and shot 200 fps. Later I found out he was shooting 70 lbs with a 31 inch draw. but it made a lot of compound shooter look down at the ground and shake their heads. Old Tom thought what the &^% I'm try to sell compounds here with speed.
