Default RE: buying a old shotgun

It all depends what Make the shotgun is. Like has been mentioned, some older models and imported models have Damascus barrels. I have a Spanish single shot .410 that my grandfather brought from Spain in 1910 and it has a Damascus barrel. I have a Winchester Model 12 20ga that my father bought in the1930's that I shoot once in awhile and still shoots great. I have a 1965FNBrowning A-5 that my wife-to-be gave me for Christmas in 1966, etc., etc., etc.,..........

As long as it doesn't have a Damascus barrel and the shotgun is safe to shoot, don't worry about the age!
