Default RE: Hunting Question

ORIGINAL: betsy_

I'm English actually, I don't know what Texas RoadHouse is, and I only buy free range/organic meat, I'm well aware hunting is often far more kind that the average slaughterhouse, hence why I don't buy from them. I have no problem with killing to eat, as I said before, but I have a problem when people dress up and view it as a game when they can't even shoot to kill; people should be aware of what they're actually doing before they buy a gun and set out hunting.
I know people who go shooting, and do it well and eat their game, as many here seem to, and thats great; but I also know people who can't manage to hit to kill and it's honestly disgusting, and there seemed to be a fare amount of people on this website like that as well.
Really can't argue your point except the fun part. Shooting straight just makes sense. To spend so much money and time to take game no matter what the reason and blow the shot isn't good.

You'd really get some respect from me if you were as, or should be even more appalled with abortion. If your not your more closer to killing another human being than I as a hunter am in my book. You've already declared oneclass of people worthless. Taking the leap to including others is a lot shorter for you than me.

I am also one hunter who teaches others that pointing a firearm at anyone in a hunting situation, isenoughto cause a person to rethink ever holding one again. We have strict rules here that are taught to almost everyone who holds a license in the safe operation of a firearm.

It's understandable that you wouldn't know what led's up to the act of killing the animal, nor what comes after that encompasses our "fun". Fun is just a term we use that falls far short. Kind of like saying the guy who walked on the moon was just having fun. It's a huge accomplishment.
