I know there are lots of good things about the 336 but I wouldn't trade my 1962 '94 for three Marlins Killed a lot of deer with it and it just 'fits' me. I have plenty of scoped rifles that are fine for certain situations but when I'm planning to hunt the thick stuff, the '94 goes with me.
