I hope you're joking. Sorry, but shooting a rifle into the air, with NO knowledge whatsoever as to where that bullet will end up, is idiotic. Frankly, I don't even like the idea of using a .22 for tree-rats. If you miss, that bullet can end up a mile downrange and I suspect several miles with a .223. Just plain STUPID. Ranks right up there with drinking a few beers at lunch and then going out for an afternoon hunt.
