CONCERNING MOISTURE......invest in some bulk quantity of 'DO NO EAT'.........you know, the silicone absorbent in packages that absorbs MOISTURE! You can buy it either pre packaged or in a bottle and use it when storing your camera, transporting your camera, and first breaking your camera out of its case when arriving at a location.
Always keep your camera if at all possible at the temperature you are going to be using it to avoid fogging up your lens and collecting moisture on your record heads.
Invest in a GOOD RAIN COVER.......and if you don't have one, use plastic garbage bags and duck\duct tape. Carry a small can of compressed air with you always!
Also carry lens cleaning cloths to help absorb moisture and keep your lens clean.
Also buy a screw on CLEAR FRONT FILTER to protect your lens. You scratch it your camera is down. You scratch the lens cover you can replace it.
Have fun, good luck.
