I hunt in SE LaGrange, bucks seem to be done chasing does heavily...not sure if you want to rattle this late in the year.

My buddy has had crazy sucess rattling mid october until early november. Two years ago hewas rattling acrossed a field from me, and two nice bucks came shooting out of a thicket right in front of me, the bigger one is now on my wall. [8D]

Myself, I have much better luck with a combination of the can call and a grunt tube in October/November. You may try a can call to get some bucks interested, but it's about time to start hunting food sources again.
