I completely see where you are coming from, and understand the reasoning behind it, but my question is, what happens when you don't make that perfect shot? When your off a little, and need that extra KE energy to bust through? Will the big 2" cuts do it? I might be way off here, I'm definitely no expert, but to me I would rather waste some KE, and have more margin for error. If you waste some on the perfect shot's, their still just as dead! Not saying mech's won't get it done (I'm shooting spitfires), just don't know why you would want to cut down your margin for error.

P.S. Guy's, if I'm way off here please explain it to me. I don't have a lot of experience with this, so always willing to learn!
