And instead of spending all that money on the DNR helicopters loaded with sharpshooters, let hunters shoot from pickup trucks at night with spotlights! That would be really cool! Oh, that' s right...that' s called poaching!

Back to the original subject. I don' t believe a 23 day season would lead to much in the way of an increased harvest. If by some off chance it gets put into place, fine. Except for the chronically unemployed or retirees, it would provide more hunting opportunities for very few.

Besides, you better believe the snowmobilers will be all up in arms over this proposal.
