I really enjoy shooting and i usually just shoot my hunting rifles but ive had some weird itch for a highly accurate rifle or two. I was just given a Marlin 22 Mag that is getting sent to Aquila to be rebareld in 17 HMR and completly redone. I was also given a Savage in 30-06. I have a Tikka in 300 WSM so im going to use the Savage as a doner action for some kind of target rifle. Now to my hard question what cartridge should i get it in. I currently have two Marlin 22 Mags, Marlin 17 HMR, Rossi 223, CZ 204, Tikka 300 WSM, Remington 30-06 and 270. And im waiting for the local gunshop to get in a 450 Marlin. What Dose everyone think would be a good target cartridge? I dont reload but one of the guys i work with dod reloads and is retired so he offerd to reload for me. I plan on shooting about 500-600 yards max. Thanks for your help.
