Aren't we all looking for land with fairly good numbers of bucks/deer! Just joking. I've hunted many of the public areas in Putnam and Dutchess county for deer, as well as pheasant and turkey, with good success. I primarily bowhunt for deer, so I do getto hunt before/after the gun season, which helps.There are plenty of places around that don't get hit too hard after the first week or so.
