Default RE: Tikka or Browning

I' ve also been looking seriously at one of the Tikka " hunters" in a .300WM for a new Elk rifle. Everyone I' ve talked to who has a Tikka is very impressed. It' s functional, not a fancy firearm, with the 1 in. grouping at 100 yds. test firing at the factory guarantee. It' s a couple hundred $ less at least than firearms that will fire a group like that out of the box that I know of.

Floating barrel, strong, smooth action, good feel to the hand grip and other nice features are also a plus. It' s also a quality firearm from the country of my ancestors, which is a personal reason I' d like a Tikka or a Sako to go with my American made firearms. The Finns are known for designing and manufacturing quality products, so I think I' m sold on one.

I' m waiting for this years updated models, which the gunshop here said will be arriving in late April/May. There might be some more improvements I' d like to take advantage of.
