I prefer to keep my hunting shots to 30 yards. I can hit softball sized targets out to 50 yards ffhand; but they don't move with the sound of the string.
If you're happy with Horton then your Horton is good. I'm Happy with a Parker and an Excaliber.
Try the Slick Trick Mag. either in 100 or 125 gr weight. I'd go with the 125 to give you a bit more weight forward (check out FOC on web). It's relatively small and has 4 blades that will help keep it from planing the bolt off target. Best of all it delivers absolutely great terminal performance. From my bows they tend to fly to the same point as field points, saving me on broadheads and targets. Be sure the FP's you practice with are the same weight as the braodheads. Good luck.
