Left alone....I find NO FAULT in a MAthews bow, AT ALL. Compared to most other bows....I still think they are superior. I just don't think they're the most innovative, cutting-edge bow mfr. out there, right now. There are better options (IMO).
No "fault" in them, at all, though.....and I hope my posts didn't come across that way.
No, I understand completely and I even agree. Heck there are so many good bow manufacturers out there it's almost impossible to get out and shoot each and everyone. So I'm sure there are some than would impress me in just single cam models.
I don't think they've been the most innovative or cutting edge lately either, but I don't think they have to be....not with a single cam bow. They've pretty much got a good thing going and have them down pretty good right now. They produce a good lineup of great shooting bows...not much more to ask for.
As technology advances so will their designs you can bet on it, but there are only so many new advances that are discovered each year. New cam designs are an area that Mathews has kept up with the pace. It's not as "in your face" as the new riser design (very cool BTW) Bowtech came out with but an advancement none the less.
Personally I think a lot of people are missing the boat with the Switchback LD. The reason is because it's not fast, but I don't think you can ask too much more in a hunting bow 33 1/2 AtoA
9in brace height and a straight riser design make it idealas a stable hunting platform.
