Default RE: Defending Mathews....

It's easy.....Mathews is and will sell a lot of bows because of their name. Their bows are great too, but nothing special. If you look back over the last few years of all the new bows Mathews has put out they all look identical. They are just not as innovative as Bowtech and other companies. Bowtech is willing to push to new extremes to get customers. You guys may say well Bowtech didnt come out with anything special this year either, and that's where you are wrong. Study the new bows for a few minutes and there are a lot of new features on the new bows. For example, you say the General isn't really new, but actually they took an idea and made it better. They made the limbs more than parrallel to reduce noise and vibration even more. They designed new cams to make the draw smoother that people complained about with the Guardian. They added a string suppressor and rollerguard which you say is from other companies. This may be true but they are adding these things to their bows to make the best bow out there. Mathews just needs to be more innovative and come up with a totally new design to catch back up.
