I got my Lab(male)out of a litter of 7.I pick the one that wasnt jumping on me,when I got him home I set him by me out side and the 1st thing he did was point(kinda) over at the bushes and made his way over there and in a couple min came out with a dead bird,he brought it right to me.he was a day short of 7 weeks old and hehas some kelloge in him.....He is AKC Reg....
The one things Labs need are alot of attention.if you dont have the time Labs arnt the dog to get if you want a huntin dog....My lab is 5yrs old and still full of spit and vinager,they say around 7 yrs they settle down abit...All he want to do is run and retreve wether its Duck or Ring Neck decoys.
FORGOT...when he was about 3 months old I had him sit by me as I let off around of 12gauge.I was very happy when he just looked up at me.....some people have had there dogs run for cover and if this happens you might have problems down the road with the dog being gun shy.....
