I don' t have any experience with Brownings, so I can' t help you there. I do have a Tikka, though, and it' s a heck of a gun. Tikkas are alot less expensive than a Browning, if that matters to you.

Great choice with the 270WSM. I think that is the most interesting of the short mags (at least until they come out with a .257).
