GT summed it up. Twenty is a done deal, you have the advantage over the deer hands down. Thirty yards and you still have a pretty good chance. Past thirty and the deer now has the upper hand and you risk having problems. You may find a guy that admits to getting deer at fifty yards, but he fails to admit how many he has missed or had bad hits on. I think all my deer have been less then fifteen yards, most at ten.
