I do not know thenumber of young ones that go down, but 70-80% is reasonable. I cannot complain, it is worse in other areas. I think the ones that survive are quite likely to move a bit to establish a different 'home' range between age 1.5 and 2.5. If and how far they move depends onseveral of variables such as human pressure, pressure from older bucks, and how dominant the individual buck is at a young age.
