Um, anyone carrying a weapon in fireing condition(always assume such), firing into a tree on MY land, wouldnt get a warning. What if he was on drugs or did have a controled substance plant growing on your property ?

I would have just shot him. Who knows what he was capable of. Also, I have no idea what a Bamboo tree means in slang, but I know what bamboo is. Id call the Police and let them know what transpired and that you fear that this gentleman may have planted a controled substance on your land. Also, reference your immediate phone call to the DNR.

I would wait until after the season, just so those cops dont trample through your huntin' woods and run off your next Booner !!

My ahts off to you, that was a mature decision, I would have just let him have it after seeing him fire randomly into a tree, and ESPECIALLY after what he said about leaving after he checks his freakin tree.
