RE: Kokiak Load
I haven't had a chance to try it out on deer yet, but my Kodiak doesn't seem to be picky when it comes to bullets. With 85 grains of Pyro RS I get good groups with 240 gr. Cheapshots, 270 gr. Buffalo Ball-ets and 295 gr. Powerbelts. I am constantly amazed at how accurate this gun is right out of the box with open sights. I bought a scope for it and still have yet to mount it.
I have experimented a little bit with 777 2f but have found Pyro RS to be more consistent (and cheaper).
Shot the 270 gr. Buffalo Ball-ets for the first time this weekend. Fun bullet to shoot- easy to load and accurate. Dead on at 100 yds with the open sights. I think one ofmy doe tags will be filled using that bullet. Too bad they are getting very hard to find.
