When they fail me....I'll switch....but even then it won't be switching back to a fixed head. I have overkill KE....so I might as well take advantage of that by getting the maximum cutting surface into that deer (as Matt/PA eluded to).
Question for you GMMAT.If i'm not mistaken your rage 2 blade's have a 2" cutting diameter. You said in your post that if they were to fail you that you would switch, but not to a fixed blade or cut on contact. You said you have all this KE and you want to use it to your best advantage. Makes alot of sense to use up that KE you havebut whats the rap on the fixed blade or cut on contactwith you then? The BH i shoot is a big3 blade cut on contactwith 1 1/4 cutting diameter, I know its not 2" like the rage but its not to small either. Its the biggest cutting diameter that i've found with the style of head i wanted. Why not trysome sort ofcut on contact3 blade BHwith a big cutting diameter? You've got plenty of KE for it!My bloodtrails are excellent as well, they leave a nice hole too.Just curious on what you have to say. I'm not promoting nothing here, just asking why. Thank you.
