I think it's a cunning use of "reverse psychology"........these bucks walk in and immediately look up and recognize some harmless old guy in a dark jacket who obviously must be somehow stuck in this tree, lost or just out feeding pigeons or something because surely he can't be serious?![:-]They might even feel sorry for him.

And before they know it that same ol' dark gray jacket is standing over another duped buck.
I wouldn't be surprised if he sits there witrh anewspaper and a bag of bread crumbs. LOL
