When I build a rifle I put on a tall front sight set the back at center and mid hight then move the front so that it is on "0' at 50 yds for windage the file it off untill the gun is on "0" for trajectory.
Warning:It only takes a little to move it if up take to much off you can not put it back very easy; so take a little at a time and shoot it to see where it is at, and use a group to judge not a single shot.
