Here is the side profile pic. Thanks again to Semisane for taking the time to teach this primitive soul the modern ways.

I don't have the photos of the deer yet, they were taken with film. Not much to see anyway, just the head (7-point basket rack) & two old pillowcases full of de-boned meat. I was a little over 1.5 miles from my truck (including a brutally steep hill), with no vehicle access, so I butchered it on the spot using a method I've read that elk hunters commonly use. Worked really slick, no waste at all, everything stays clean (no dragging through the forest duff), and actually easier to deal with the animal on the ground than hanging from a gambrel.

This was my first muzzleloading deer. My breech loading rifle will likely never see the field again, unless I sell or trade it.
