Yep it was pretty difficult to go down there by myself after so may years with my Father-in-Law. It was way different not having anyone to talk about the day and what we saw.

His gun stand is about 400yds away down the same tree line as mine and I found myself looking over there with my binoculars like I have done so many years before to find him sleeping or moving around...LOL.

I'd call him on the two ways and say, "Sit stillDad, you won't see any deer moving around like that"...or "You can't see any deer with your eye's closed".He'd reply "You keep an eye out and wake me if you see somethingwalking my way".

This year, nothing but an empty stand...it broke my heart.
