7 1/2 shot is too fine for pheasants???.....get thiis.....I had a youngster hunting with me using a 28 Ga with 1 OZ of #6 shot and he ran out of shells.....all I had was 8 1/2 shot and I didn' t tell him and I gave him several shells with the finer shot.....those pheasants came down just the same!!!

Yes 3/4 oz of 8 1/2 shot......great results!!!
