I want to thank you guys for all the help I've been given by reading these forums. It made the learning curve much easier and definately contributed to my success this year.
My first deer was a large doe and I couldn't have been more pleased. She was taken at 9am opening day of gun in WNY and 2 minutes into an argument with myself about whether I should stay in the stand or get down. I took your guys advice and found what I guessed was an escape trail in a funnel and sure enough a couple does came running down it, one stopped at 50 yrds and 1 shot dropped her in her tracks.
I'm hooked-I can't wait to get out there again tomorrow. And the next day, and the next day......
