Too much for what , they will give you more recoil than a lighter bullet, they are an excellant bullet for elk, they do not open as fast as a 250 and can past through a deer with out opening as much; if you like shoulder shots they are excellant for that,They are a very good bullet for a lot of things it just depends on what you will hunt with them.
