Only on the perfect wind...but since he answered your doe bleat and your in his domain I'd be tempted to give him a go with rattling. Have your partner set up just behind or to the rear wing side (s)on another likely travel route he may use to try and circle the noise makers. Start off lightly if your not sure where his bedroom isand if no response vamp up slowly. It may just entice him enough for a look..look! If that's not for you, I would certainly move closer to his bedroom with again the perfect wind. Just use caution if uncertain to where he likes to hang his head and you should be fine. I personally move as close as possible to the bedding areas as season moves into the rutting stages and have enjoyed both risk and reward by doing so but it has been a good way to up my chances onmature whitetails. I am chasing a 6x5 in the ML/Bow Zone near s'toon, waiting for the rut to kick in high gear coupled with the right wind to sneak in tightand hopefully get a chance to flick the safety off.

Best of Luck.

Congrats, Trailer on your buck. What bullet did you use this year in the 7mm 08??
