Default RE: Welcome to Florida hunting

ORIGINAL: bryant1

why did you get out if you don't mind me asking?
The main reason was thatabout 10 or 12 members lived in the vacinity and 4 lived across the road from the lease. It was 1,600acres leased from Proctor & Gamble. The membership was $500 a year and I paid an extra $125 a monthfor setting up the travel trailer on private property across the road from the lease. There were 70 members at the time I left.

Well, all the guys that livedclose and those that lived next to it would hunt it andrun the dogs every afternoon when they came from work, 7 days a week. Thetimes I would go it was a just a camping trip cause4 or 5 Deer were taken that week andI had to drive 7 hours round trip justto camp! The member that I was paying to park the travel trailer had an aunt that had a 20 acre Been Field off Rd 14 and it touched the lease at one point, but only 5 family members could hunt on it.[8D]The Deer I killedin the above pictures, I killed it closefrommy stand at the edge of the Been Field.Another thing that was a pain in the butt was, always had to go chase dogs that went into San Pedro.[:@]

I would go, 1 week for Muzzle Loading, first week of Generalhunting season,1 week for Thanksgiving,2 weeks for Christmas and New Years and I also went a few week-ends inbetween....

There was also talk about membership going to $600 and $50 fine for not making it onclean up day.
