RE: archery clubs
If it was my range I would want something that was atleast 25 to 30yards shootable down range. It would also be nice to have it about 30 feet wide. The only reason I would want somthing this large is you can have some awsome indoor 3-d shoots in the winter months to raise money. This all comes down to what the primary needs and uses of the range are going to be. Is this just a range without a proshop? Any one that would be working their open hours or is it available to who ever pays their dues and has a key? If know one is working or no proshop I have heard of people using vending machines to offer some of the basics such as knocks, field points and what ever else you want to stock.
When I was in Chicago I belonged to an organization called Chicago Bowhunters. After buying your membership you where given a key that was changed once a year. This key gave you acess 24/7 to the indoor range and the outdoor practice range and the 3-D range. The whole property was fenced in. Inside the indoor range we had a bowpress, bow scale, cronograph and a sitting/meeting area seperated from the range by a wall and some plexiglass windows.
Talk to the local archers and conduct a servey.
Hope some of this is helpfull.
