Default RE: purchasing scope for 300RUM

ORIGINAL: NBDeerHunter

Ok everyone, I am looking to buy a scope to put on my 300RUM, scope on it is in serious need of an upgrade. I am on a budget and here is the list I have .........thoughts opionions are welcome. and YES I am aware that a $1500 + scope would be great but like I said I am on a budget
I have pulled all the prices from theopticzone.com I need to find the best scope that will stand up to the 300RUM (with muzzle break) for the $$$$

1. Nikon Monarch 4-16X42mm with mil-dot reticle $389
2. Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16X40mm with multiX reticle $349
3. Burris Fulfield II 6.5-20X50mm with Ballistic Mill-Dot reticle $465
4. Leupold VX-II 6-18X40mmwith Fine Duplex reticle $430

5. Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X40mm with Fine Duplex reticle $520 (I don't think I can afford this one)

any suggestions that are not listed above are welcome......
On my 300RUM, I used 4.5-15X40 and 6.5-20 Vari X III's. They both held up to well over 2000 shots or more without hickup. but I do lap in my rings for a solid grip. If it was me, I would look for a used VariX III. Thats me.

Second I would pick up the monarch, but only think I don't like about it is lack of Eye relief compared to the Leupold.

I love Bushnell Elites, but hate thier warranty. So not sure I would pick those for a RUM. I have some gouges on my 2.5-7 Pistol scope on my 460Smith and called bushnell to ask if they would warranty this if something happens. And didn't get a warm and fuzzy from them. The 460 is hard on scopes. And I know sooner or later, I will need to use thier warranty. I just wish they were more confident that the warranty department would definatley take care of me.
