What' s nice about the 17hmr is that it is a legit 150 yard round that is more accurate than a 22mag and make about the same noise as a 22lr.
The 5mmRem mag fit the same niche but .....
It' s nice to have such a round available to use on dairy farms and in areas where houses are encroaching and people get bent out of shape hearing loud gun shots.
It has it' s place and hope to see it around for a long time and not go the way of the 5mm
